turnersdsenateJul. 6th, 2004 08:14 am TWO THUMBS UP TO SD GOP

WOW what an awesome day I had Saturday with the South Dakota GOP. Started off with a parade in a summer town in Northern South Dakota to the east of Watertown called Krantsburg. John Thune and Dusty Johnson were both there and had a great time. But what made the day awesome was the GOP being at the Sisseton Pow Wow. First time the State GOP had been to this Pow Wow and they were warmly received. John Thune US Senate candidate and his family were present. Had genuine conversations with people. It is time to heal our state and this can make some in roads to do that. I will attend as many Pow Wows as I can to keep this effort alive.

turnersdsenateJun. 14th, 2004 11:37 am Ronald Reagan

The nation cried tears for the past week about someone who at times was more than a man. Ronald Wilson Reagan healed a nation, now with his passing he may do it again. It is time for the REAL GOP to stand up and be counted. We have let the left paint us into a corner and have cow tailed and bowed to them. There is nothing wrong with Conservative ideas, nothing wrong with stark contrast. We need a two part system NOW. It is so hard to tell the difference between the GOP and the Dems right now, to much going to the middle. In doing so it is turning off voters. Why should they care, when they see candidates it is hard to tell the differences between them. Reagan had strength of convictions and never wavered, the GOP needs that some strength. I will never stop supporting the GOP but that doesn't mean I will not stop calling for change. CHANGE IS GOOD, the GOP needs to become that bright and shining star on a hill that Reagan so wanted.
